Scratch Live Video

Serato Video-SL is a software plug-in for Scratch Live which adds the ability to playback and mix video files. Manage a variety of video clips from within the Scratch Live library and load them onto a virtual deck for control with either vinyl or CD. The controls allow you to mix clips with a variety of transitions, as well as apply exciting effects to each video clip. The mixed output can be sent to your computer’s secondary display for connection to external monitors or projectors. Video-SL Features video clips to your Scratch Live performance, view loaded clips and output from your computer Manipulate playback with control records or CD’s Use built-in transitions and effects including text and image effects Audio Responsive effects let the music control a variety of live video effects. These vary from Bass Zoom to Splits and are controlled by analyzing the music signal. Video files can be previewed and managed in the Scratch Live offline player. MIDI control enables you to use 3rd party controllers with Video-SL. Video Instant Doubles allows you to play the same video and effects on a second deck. Effects are stored with each video file for instant recall. External video mixing allows you to set up different output configurations in the control panel of Video-SL’s setup mode. Choose from Output Only, L/R pre-fader or all 3 outputs for greater flexibility.

Mix Emergency

Mix Emergency supports mixing and scratching of a range of files playable in QuickTime Why limit yourself to video? Create stunning dynamic visual compositions with Quartz Composer and mix and manipulate them in Mix Emergency. You can easily assign parameters within Quartz Compositions to react to the media’s play position and velocity. Quartz Compositions allow you to easily create dynamic visualizations that react to audio and video input. Several example files are included with the Mix Emergency demo. Multiple transition effects to choose from a range of transitions to mix between media sources or set it to randomly select the next transition if you want more time to concentrate on your music. Several transitions allow the full-screen output window of Mix Emergency to become transparent allowing you to mix between the output of Mix Emergency and the output of other VJing software. Assigning a MIDI control is as easy as Option-clicking a control in Mix Emergency and moving the desired MIDI controller. Drag and drop media onto either media preview area to load it. Or drag it into the media bank to have it easily accessible while performing. Folders can be dragged onto the media bank to quickly preview multiple clips. Dynamic effects easily map the media position and velocity to any effect parameter to create dynamic effects that react to your mixing and scratching
